4-16-13 Afternoon Thunderstorms

Just before leaving we had some severe thunderstorms pass through the area.  heavy enough rains that the sewer drains in my neighborhood were bubbling up about a foot out of the ground.  When I go in I will see if we took any damage.  The range is scheduled for tomorrow…it may be flooded.  The newbies will be all a buzz if we get flooded and want me to come out to see the water.  As usual…unless it is hitting the bottom of the bridge I have seen it before.  When it hits the bottom of the bridge that will be new to me.

So, we have been cutting greens daily and they are growing.  I need to get a topdressing in soon to fill in even more winter depressions.  I had a delivery of sand late yesterday (third load this year)  Most has gone to bunkers (about 30 ton)  The rest on greens.  The sprayers are being worked on little by little we balanced the booms on the small one today.  Crabgrass control will be heading out later this week around greens and selected fairways.  Then when tees get cut we will hit them with the same thing including some fertilizer.
