  1. Yep, I’ve read them. Some are sensible changes like new rules on the movement of the ball, and then some are comical like the new drop rule. You can drop from 1 inch above the ground which can hardly be called a drop. And, then don’t go into effect until 2018. Huh? Why so long a wait?

    • Like every governing body things move slow. These are the proposed changes. They have to give the “Haters” a chance to voice their opinions so they won’t get protesters outside of the US Open.

      • Well, some of the complainers had started in the LPGA ranks. Not be allowed to have your caddie help line them up has already give cause to one or two to fuss over that rule change. I see most of the changes to benefit the player by cancelling out penalties. But, who am I? Just play my game.
