The last big storm came through and took out an irrigation control box. Jason started cutting and bundling wires today and will get the entire box changed out next week.
Then the hard part starts. There are 48 station wires connected to from 1-3 solenoids that turn the heads on and off. We have to test each wire individually to see if we need to dig up each head replace the solenoid, the wire splice pack, or a burnt/broken wire. It is tedious and time consuming.
We should be fully operational in a few weeks. The last major double lightning strike we finished up the last burnt wire last year…it took us 5 years of chasing and repairing wires with countless number of holes.
