Friday just before lunch. We had been working on removing the three fairway bunkers since Thursday morning. When I hear a HI and a wave from a couple of members with guests driving to their tee shot. Their normal day is one group scramble, first tee time.
Occasionally the bring friends and play a two group scramble around 10:00. That was the case on Friday.
The tee shot they chose was in the right rough skirting a large tree to the pin about 80 yards out. Actually a very long tee shot. But after seeing shots for a day most missing the green here is what I witnessed. Four shots circling the pin.
They walked up chose the close putt and made it, then… all fixed ball marks.
That is what I love to see. Players taking pride in their course.
I’ll see them back tomorrow morning first time on the books.
